16 Jan 10 - We had our monthly chapter meeting at "Cedar Point" restaurant in Spring Lake, NC. We had 26 people present. In a long overdue raffle, Jim Kennebeck won $100. Joe Jimenez won a "Hooters" golf bag, and both Bill Bond and Fred Chrisman won an awesome military print donated by Nancy Studer.
10 Feb 10 - The 20 Feb 2010 monthly Chapter breakfast changed locations to"Golden Corral" Restaurant on Ramsey St., in Fayetteville, NC. For address and map click here.
3 Mar 10 - Post cards were mailed out to all Chapter members to announce our new meeting location and election for a chapter President at the 20 Mar 10 meeting.
16 Mar 10 - Airborne students make history at Ft. Benning, GA. They jumped the Army's new T-11 parachute. To read the article, click here.
20 Mar 10 - We had about 25 people present at our monthly meeting. We would like to announce the election of SFC(R) Karl Whitby as the new Red Hat Chapter President.
26 Mar 10 - The Fayetteville Observer has published a list of local businesses that provide discounts for military personnel. They ask you to call first and confirm the discounts. To see the list click here.
28 Mar 10 - SSG Mike Sharp sends a great video of Det. 8, 824th QM CO while deployed in support of GWOT. On average, they are airdropping over 800,000lbs of supplies monthly. Check out the video and see what they are doing by clicking here (Large 5 MB file).
20 May 10 - CW3 Jeff Page of the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan, recently had an airdrop article published in the "Professional Bulletin of the United States Army Sustainment." Click here to check out the article.
17 May 10 - CPT Riordan, CDR, 11th QM, informs us her unit is sponsoring the 1st annual Archangel Golf Tournament on Thursday, 3 June at Stryker Golf Course (1219 Bragg Blvd). Four person teams, best ball. The $40 registration ($50 after 30 May) includes 18 holes w/cart, range balls, catered lunch, and prizes for the top three teams. Click here for the flyer.
15 Jun 10 - The mighty 612th QM CO had a deactivation ceremony on 15 Jun 2010, 1100hrs at the pack shed on canopy lane. Click here for the flyer.
18 Sep10 - Meeting was called to order 0945. 19 Members were present. We received a presentation by Mr. Hagle of Steel Crazy 1LT Craig gave an update on the Rigger Ball. The Social is set for 30 Sep at SWC Rigger facility @ 1700 UTC.
01 Oct 10 - Rigger Ball was held at the Metropolitan Room in Fayetteville, NC. We had over 300 attendees.
16 Oct 10 - Jim Kennebeck and Jesmer reminded us that the Red Hat Chapter will be hosting the 2014 International Rigger Reunion. The 2012 international reunion will be in New Zealand.
02 Nov 10 - The Rigger Monument was dedicated at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, downtown Fayetteville, NC. MG Mason presided over the event. Click here for photos.
