29 Dec 15 - The New Zealand Air Dispatch Association (equivalent of the Red Hat Chapter in New Zealand) has unfortunately laid to rest a past President. Trevor Baker lost his battle with cancer early the morning of 29 Dec 15. The Red Hat Chapter passes our condolences to Dal and family for their loss. Funeral details to be advised as soon as they come to hand. Meantime ADAA President Nic Nicolai can be contacted with any inquiry - [email protected].
21 Nov 15 - During our normal monthly luncheon 1SG (R) Del Weitman, 78, past RHC President decided to retire his Red Hat and trade it in for a newer model. Up to that point he had worn the same Red Hat for over 57 years! Click on picture to enlarge.

19 Sep 15 - Chapter Meeting is cancelled due to the Pig Pickin' on 12 Sep 15.
12 Sep 15 - RHC Member Appreciation Day was celebrated with a free Pig Pickin' for RHC members and their families. A big thanks to Ken & Nancy Studer for hosting the event at their beautiful home in Raeford. There was lots of great food, drink, swimming, stories, and camaraderie. 15 Aug 15 - National Airborne Day!! The public is invited to join paratroopers, past and present as they gather at Fayetteville’s Airborne and Special Operations Museum (ASOFM) to celebrate some of the first U.S. soldiers to jump out of perfectly good airplanes as they recognize National Airborne Day. This year’s event marks the 75th anniversary of the Army’s first sets of parachute jumps. For more information, please visit the AFSOFM's website.
18 Jul 15 - We had the drawing for this year's raffle fundraiser on 18 Jul 15 during the RHC monthly meeting. The Grand Prize (.22 Cal AR-15) went to Del Weitman, 2nd Prize ($250) went to Ted Hebron, and 3rd Prize ($100) went to Frank Castillo (not present). This fundraiser was a huge success and we would like to thank all the RHC members for their support. It helped the Chapter raise funds for operating expenses and other charitable endeavors. 13 Apr 15 - 50 Paratroopers injured in major airborne operation - About 2,100 paratroopers participated in Monday night's airborne operation. Most of the injured troops were Americans; about 10 were British paratroopers, said Lt. Col. Cathy Wilkinson, a spokeswoman for the 82nd Airborne Division.
